Gerardo Lozano: bike fitting and 3D analysis

Gerardo Lozano, studied chiropody at the University of Extremadura and has been treating with sportsmen, especially with cyclists, for many years now at the [link url=»http://www.clinicapodotec.com» title=»Clínica Podotec»]. He is a Certified Fitter by the University of Retül where he also passed a course on «Transition to dynamic bike fit». Even though he is the chiropodist at the portuguese Sporting Clube Campomaiorense of Football and the chiropodist of world class athletes like Miriam Cabeza (Spanish and European triathlon champion and 3rd at the triathlon world cup held in Turkey 2015), his passion is the bicycle and many high level cyclists trust him and his bike fitting system to get their bikes ready to go. Some of the cyclists he has worked with are the sprinting specialist Juanjo Lobato, the young signing of Movistar Team Nuno Bico and who finished second at the 2010 «Giro de Italia» and won a stage at the 2008 «Vuelta de España» David Arroyo, along with many other.

For bike fittings, Gerardo started using the Retül system but he discovered the STT system Cycling 3DMA solution and has worked with this system ever since. Cycling 3DMA makes a full body analysis and in 5 minutes you could get a detailed data of every movement the cyclist has done, with a recorded HD video synchronized with the 3D data, and also, statistics and graphs can be see on the go. The rider has no cables nor batteries on allowing him to move freely and allowing the results to be as precise as they can be. The motion is captured by high-speed, infrared cameras filming the rider, who has different markers on him, from different angles, giving the fitter a 3D image as the test is being carried out.

As do many others, Gerardo trusts the system Cycling 3DMA and it has made fitting bicycles a lot easier for him but on top of that he has realized that cyclist come to him not only for bike fittings but for sharpening their technique as well. The full analysis can help you improve your pedal technique and make the best out of your performance, but also, avoid injuries or aches caused by a bad position on the bike or bad cycling habits. «We are obtaining extraordinary results on our athletes, with this technology it is a lot easier to find perfection both in the movements and in the equipment we use.»
