One of the most recurring requests from the scientific and clinical community has been an easier way to integrate kinematic data with electromyography (EMG). In 3DMA 2026.0, we have taken a giant leap by adding native support for the Delsys API, specifically for Trigno Centro systems. This integration allows researchers and clinicians to perfectly synchronize muscle activation data with 3D joint kinematics. In 3DMA 2026.0, we have implemented an improved algorithm for pelvis rotation correction during calibration. Furthermore, we have unified and documented all recent changes in the Bike Fitting module, creating an updated InSight example database integrated directly with 3DMA. This allows fitters to compare their cyclists’ positions with normative databases much more smoothly.
Precision in Calibration and the Spatial Environment
The reliability of 3D data depends on a perfect calibration. We have significantly improved the ground plane calculation. Now, the system intelligently uses the calibration bar height to establish a much more robust mathematical ground plane. This translates to height, stride, and spatiotemporal parameter measurements with a practically zero margin of error.
Smart Warnings and Data Security
Per-protocol 2D point coincidence warning settings have been added. This means the software will warn you in real-time if it detects that the cameras are confusing markers based on the specific rules of the clinical protocol you are using (whether walking, running, or cycling). On the licensing side, we have added the application version info to license server requests, facilitating network administration for large universities and hospitals.
Improved Visualization and Report Generation (EDDO)
For our users working with HH (Helen Hayes) Lower Train reports for EDDO, we have substantially improved the summarized report layout and optimized the representation of inverted graphs. The software now sets the “reference capture” numeric figures as the default option for comparisons, streamlining the process when comparing a “Pre” and “Post” test of a rehabilitation patient. We have also improved the user interface (UI) scaling support, ensuring the software looks perfectly sharp on 4K monitors and high-pixel-density laptop screens, notably improving text sharpness in the toolbar buttons.
Alongside all this, more than 15 additional improvements have been implemented in the graphics engine and memory management, making 3DMA 2026.0 an extraordinarily agile software.

- Advanced Options: The “Show Advanced Options” label now has corrected visibility and reacts properly to user clicks across all resolutions.
Fixes in Report Generation and Comparative Data
- Configuration Files: Fixed the critical “Unable to read comparative report configuration file” error, which prevented some users from generating progress reports.
- Tag Replacement: We solved an issue where dynamic report tags were not being correctly replaced by the patient’s name or specific session data upon PDF export.
- Numerical Data: Elements that were sporadically missing in the comparative numerics view tables have been restored and now display consistently.
