When we talk about the traceability of vaccines, or any type of medication, we are not just talking about the act of administration. In practice, various elements are involved in the care process, such as:
- Receipt of the batch into stock.
- Supplier registration.
- Expiry date.
- Physical location.

- Administration to the patient.
- Recording in the medical record.
- Possible booster dose.

All these steps, in one way or another, can be managed within Hygehos through the system’s various modules. However, it is important to note that the system does not have a specific vaccination module. In practice, vaccines are recorded as medication, in the same way as any other treatment.
Furthermore, there is the option to record vaccinations on the patient’s Form 0, which contains administrative data and various details of the patient’s history (personal, family, employment, etc.). However, there is currently no specific tracking within the system of the vaccination schedule or the progress of the patient’s vaccination as a separate process.
