The Miramar Palace in Donostia–San Sebastián hosted on November 6-7, 2025 the XLVII Congress of the Iberian Society of Biomechanics and Biomaterials (SIBB 2025), a leading event in applied biomechanics, biomaterials, biomedicine, clinical rehabilitation, and human movement research.

SIBB 2025 provided a dynamic forum for researchers, clinicians, and specialists from across the Iberian Peninsula to share their latest scientific contributions and foster interdisciplinary discussion.
The congress focused on the three main areas of the Society: biomaterials, biomedicine, and sports biomechanics, featuring plenary lectures, oral sessions, poster presentations, and dedicated activities for young researchers, promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange across disciplines and career stages.
Our team closely followed sessions on sports biomechanics, where the integration of motion capture technologies, inertial sensors (IMUs), and musculoskeletal models emerges as a key tool for performance optimization, load analysis, and injury prevention.
Live iSEN Demonstration: Precise Biomechanical Data in Real Time
The highlight of our participation took place on Thursday, November 6, with a live demonstration of iSEN and our 3D inertial motion capture system.
In real time, we showcased how iSEN converts human movement into reliable, quantifiable, and actionable biomechanical data, delivering advanced metrics in kinematics, movement variability, performance analysis, and applied biomechanics for sports and rehabilitation.
This demonstration was part of the closing of the scientific sessions and preceded the Young Scientist Forum, highlighting STT Systems’ commitment to supporting the next generation of biomechanics and biomaterials researchers.
Open House and Engagement with the Scientific Community
On Friday, November 7, we hosted an open house at our Donostia facilities. Researchers, clinicians, and professionals experienced firsthand our laboratories, technological systems, and the multidisciplinary team driving innovation in clinical biomechanics, sports performance, ergonomics, and human movement analysis.
Scientific Relevance and Collaboration Opportunities
