On May 6, 2025, STT Systems had the pleasure of participating in the Czech–Basque Economic Seminar: Opportunities in Robotics and Automation, held in Bilbao and organized by Czech Trade, the Bilbao Chamber of Commerce, and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Madrid. This event brought together leading companies from the industrial automation and robotics sector with the aim of fostering collaboration and exploring new technological opportunities between both regions.
Among the attendees were major industry names such as Gestamp, Volkswagen, Pilous Packaging, and various Czech integrators like Eltep and Krofian. Representing the Basque industrial sector were CENKER, Grupo ERLO, and STT Systems.

VISIO: artificial vision technology for a more efficient industry
During our intervention, STT Systems presented the solutions developed by our VISIO division, specialized in artificial vision. With over 20 years of experience in the sector, VISIO designs and integrates automated inspection stations using high-precision vision hardware and proprietary algorithms for 2D and 3D analysis. These solutions enable:
- The automation of industrial inspection processes, with real-time feedback for production and quality systems.
- Direct integration with plant systems (PLC, ERP, databases) through industrial protocols such as Profinet, EtherCAT, or Ethernet/IP.
- The use of advanced technologies such as thermography, hyperspectral vision, or multivision systems for point cloud extraction, contactless metrology, traceability, and surface defect control.
At the event, we highlighted the ability of our solutions to adapt to different industrial environments and optimize key processes, increasing not only efficiency but also precision in every operation. Additionally, we emphasized the importance of connectivity and interoperability of our technologies with industrial automation systems.
Success stories in strategic sectors
Our presentation included representative success stories where our solutions have optimized industrial processes in key sectors:
- Automotive: structural control of containers for SEAT, VW, and Mercedes.
- Railway: wheel inspection for CAF.
- Medical Industry: automated control of medical cannulas for Becton Dickinson.
The attendees showed particular interest in these projects, recognizing the ability of our solutions to improve quality and reduce errors in complex industrial environments. This interest reaffirms STT Systems’ commitment to leading intelligent automation in high-demand industrial settings.
Opportunities for collaboration with leading companies
The seminar also served to open new doors in the sector. During the event, we had informal meetings with two Czech integrators and made connections with several Basque companies that were interested in our machine vision solutions and exploring potential collaborations in the field of industrial automation. These connections reinforce our vision of a more connected and collaborative industry, where machine vision technology becomes a pillar for digital transformation.
