DCF visits STT Systems to explore our advanced biomechanical analysis solutions for cycling
On June 16, 2025, we had the honor of welcoming Jeff Huang, Senior Sports Marketing Specialist and Project Leader of DCF from Giant Group, to the headquarters of STT Systems in Donostia.
DCF(Dynamic Cycling Fit) as the bike fitting brand under Giant Group, is focused on the most technologically advanced bicycle fitting services, provide different bike fitting tools, from hardware to software, and also different level of bike fitting education.
Giant Group is a major international bicycle manufacturer and also a workforce management solutions provider. As a bicycle company, Giant is known for its brands like GIANT, Liv, Momentum, CADEX and DCF, offering a wide range of bikes, gears, components and bike fitting service. In the workforce management sector, Giant Group provides services like vendor management, screening, and payroll solutions.
This technical and commercial visit focused on exploring our biomechanical analysis technologies applied to professional cycling—particularly our 3DMA Cycling system, a motion assessment system designed for high-precision 3D bike fitting studies.
3D motion analysis technology for cycling performance
During the demonstration, the STT commercial team — Luis Benito (Commercial Director) and Guillermo Conde (Sales Area) — showcased the capabilities of the 3DMA Cycling system, which uses 8 high-speed optical cameras running at 100 FPS to capture the cyclist’s real-time movement and interaction with the bicycle. This powerful training software enables a comprehensive kinematic analysis of the cyclist, synchronizing the body and bicycle in an automated workflow.
A full-body bike fitting session was carried out, including the evaluation of a road bike and the dynamic motion of the cyclist during pedaling. In addition, external peripheral systems were integrated to enrich the dataset and provide a multidimensional analysis of performance, ergonomics, and cycling efficiency.
Valuable solutions for retailers and manufacturers
The session also included a discussion on how this type of tool can be integrated into commercial and service environments: from bike shops to high-performance centers and after-sales service facilities. STT Systems’ value proposition goes beyond biomechanical analysis — it’s about offering a comprehensive customer experience that spans from pre-sale and personalized adjustment to additional services such as maintenance, technical apparel, accessories, and even cycling routes or travel experiences.
Feedback and future collaboration opportunities
The feedback received was positive, with particular appreciation for the precision of the system, the automation of the analysis workflow, and the customizable reporting features. Although the initial assessment suggests that only a small percentage of Giant stores may implement this technology in the future for most high end bike fitting solution, both parties expressed interest in continuing the conversation to explore future collaboration, aiming to align their goals and offer a more complete and professional cycling service.
At STT Systems, we deeply value opportunities like this to engage with leading players in the cycling industry and to continue developing cutting-edge solutions in motion capture, biomechanical analysis, and data-driven training systems.
