Yeyo is a cycling enthusiast with extensive experience in the assessment and physical preparation of cyclists. He is currently the head of Macrociclo, a company offering online training programmes for endurance athletes. He also conducts biomechanical studies at Clínica Icomed (Santander) and MDS360 in Madrid. In addition, he provides exclusive biomechanical advice to the Aldro Cycling Team at their Cyclist Training Centre. On top of all this, he is one of the founders of I+D Cycling, a recently established network of specialised centres.
Yeyo has followed a long path to acquire his expertise. He holds a degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, trained at the University of León under Dr Juan García. He has complemented his physiotherapy degree with several additional qualifications, including postgraduate studies in Pedagogical Aptitude and Structural Osteopathy, a Master’s in High-Performance Sport, and a Master’s in Management of Sports Entities and Centres.
Explaining why he chose Cycling 3DMA as his exclusive system for biomechanical analysis comes naturally to Yeyo. “The ability to analyse a cyclist 360° in a matter of seconds, within the same pedalling cycle, is invaluable,” he explains. Unlike other systems, Cycling 3DMA allows “quantifying symmetry in metric variables.”
Indeed, this technology brings the power of full-body 3D analysis within reach of anyone, at high speed and with remarkable ease. “And best of all, you can compare the effect of corrections applied on one side with the opposite side.”
